as a reply to Carol Brudenell.
I have several high profile investigator initiated trials in which we hold the IND as well as other Federally funded etc. trials. We have looked at several databases types as well as trial "tracker" sort of software. We have just settled with Clinical Conductor as our choice and I think that we will be very happy. They have tested their software and it is currently being used a lot of sites and everyone seems happy. You need a software that does not "update" all of the time and that is of cource part 11 compliant which this is. It is also the most adapatble and they are actually in the process of completing the ability to export to Outlook for scheduling, follow up etc. We hope to build some sort of a database within it for data collection. Out of all the sites we looked at, these guys are the most responsive and the software can be built at your site to match what your specific needs are. We also need to accomodate 3 other "types" of research so we are diverse in our needs but have one common goal, SIMPLICITY!!!
Hope this helps.
